Short version
- The app opens ToolsServer.com inside the app, so the website’s cookies and analytics apply.
- There is no account and we don’t ask for your name or email.
- Tools run on your phone. The text, images and files you use in a tool are not uploaded to our servers.
- There are no ads and the app doesn’t use the advertising ID.
- We never sell your data.
Who we are
ToolsServer (com.orbitra.toolsserver) is published by Orbitra, the Google Play developer. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Orbitra. Privacy contact: [email protected].
What data we collect

What we don’t collect
- What you type, paste or pick in a tool — text, images and files are processed on your phone.
- Your name, email address or any account details — there is no account.
- Your advertising ID, contacts, precise location or microphone.
Device permissions the app uses and why
- Internet — To load ToolsServer.com.
- Network state — To show the offline screen when you have no connection.
- Storage (Android 9 and older only) — To save tool results to your Downloads folder. Newer Android versions don’t need it.
- File / photo picker — Only when a tool needs a file, and only the file you pick. No permission is needed for this.
Third-party services
These services have their own privacy policies:
- Google Analytics (opens in a new tab) — Website and app usage statistics.
- Microsoft Clarity (opens in a new tab) — How pages are used, to improve the tools.
- Google Play Services (opens in a new tab) — Installing and updating the app.
How we use data
- To run the tool you chose, on your phone.
- To understand which tools are useful, so we know what to improve.
- To keep the site and app working and secure.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Data is only passed to the service providers listed above, who process it for us, or when the law requires it.
Retention
- Analytics data is kept for 14 months. TODO(owner): confirm the GA4 data-retention setting
- Files you save stay in your Downloads folder until you delete them.
- Cookies and tools saved for offline use stay in the app’s web view until they expire or you clear the app’s storage.
Deleting your data
You can delete your data at any time. The steps are on the ToolsServer data deletion page.
Security
Data sent over the internet is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Data stored on your phone is kept in the app’s private storage, protected by the Android app sandbox. No method is perfectly secure, but we keep what we collect to a minimum.
Children
ToolsServer is meant for people aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.
Your rights
Europe and the UK (GDPR / UK GDPR): you can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to its use, and get a portable copy. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
California (CCPA / CPRA): you can ask what personal information we hold and ask us to delete it. We do not sell personal information.
To make a request, email [email protected] with the app name in the subject. We will reply within 30 days.
International transfers
Google services may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Google uses safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.
This policy covers the Android app. The website’s own privacy policy (opens in a new tab) also applies to the pages shown in the app; you can turn analytics off under Your choices on that page. Microsoft may also process data outside your country.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date at the top. Important changes will also be shown in the app.
